[:ro]Moonlight Breakfast este o trupă cu sound fresh, urban și influențe de Soul, Electro, Beat, Nu-Jazz și Swing, ce și-a început oficial cariera muzicală ca opening act la concertul Jamiroquai. S-au întâlnit în București: Christie, solista cu timbru deosebit și sound-uri surprinzătoare și Bazooka, producător, tobar și multi-instrumentist, care a studiat clarinetul la Conservatorul din București. Li s-a alăturat Adiță, la clape, chitară și actor. Pentru concertul lor de debut, Moonlight Breakfast au repetat doar de cinci ori. Și nu era vorba de un show oarecare, ci de opening act-ul pentru Jamiroquai, în fața a 35.000 de oameni. Au trecut însă testul, cu o interpretare hipnotică, iar de atunci a început seria de concerte internaționale.
Primul lor album, „Shout“, reunește toate influențele stilului lor unic. Produs, înregistrat, editat, mixat și masterizat de Bazooka, acest album de debut reunește 13 piese într-un mix original. „Hello“ începe cu un beat voodoo surprinzător, întregit de întrebarea adresată de Christie, „Hello! Do you wanna know my name?”, în timp ce „Still“ e o piesă disco animată de o voce soul cu inflexiuni desprinse din lumea basmelor. Aici Billie Holiday se întâlnește cu Bananarama și cu Les Rita Mitsouko pentru câteva șoapte și mișcări de dans. În schimb, în „Play“, Moonlight Breakfast reunește ritmuri Pop, Disco, Swing și Gypsy Jazz și sound-uri atrăgătoare ale solo-urilor de clarinet.
Pe scurt, Moonlight Breakfast este o trupă retro-electro cu piese îmbogățite de influențe muzicale variate care va condimenta atmosfera Bla aLive și îmbia publicul la dans pe Câmpia Libertății!
[:en]Moonlight Breakfast is a Romanian band with a fresh, urban rough style mix of Soul, Electro, Beat, Nu-Jazz and Swing, which started their official music career as opening act for the first Jamiroquai concert in the country. They met in Bucharest: Christie, the singer with a striking, extraordinary voice and Bazooka, music producer, drummer and multi-instrumentalist, who studied the clarinet at the Bucharest Conservatory. Joined by Adita, keyboarder and guitar player, actor and equestrian. Moonlight Breakfast had exactly five rehearsals before their first concert. And we are not speaking of an underground club, but about the Jamiroquai concert, as they were the opening act, playing in front of a crowd of 35.000 people. Thanks to their intoxicating performance they passed the test with flying colours and since then, they’ve been performing their worldwide concerts with a playful easiness.
They released their first album „Shout“, which puts all their influences in a nutshell. Produced, recorded, edited, mixed and mastered by Bazooka, the 13 songs of this debut album show a special style mix. „Hello“ opens with a pushing voodoo beat and Christie’s question „Hello! Do you wanna know my name?“ Whereas „Still“ is a weird disco song with a fairylike soul voice. It’s here that Billie Holiday meets Bananarama and Les Rita Mitsouko for a few drinks and some cool moves. In „Play“ Moonlight Breakfast unite Pop, Disco, Swing and Gypsy Jazz and top it off with a catchy clarinet solo.
In short, Moonlight Breakfast is a retro-electro band enriched by various music influences, which will spice up the Blaj aive atmosphere and will make people dance on the Field of Liberty![:]
