Danaga (Daniel Aga) este un producător din Cluj care îmbină mai multe genuri muzicale, de la jazz, funk, hip-hop pana la house, techno sau folklor. Este cunoscut publicului pentru aparițiile de pe compilațiile “Culese din Cartier”, “BuzzRo! 2011”, “Soundsphere 5”. Primul său album, “Am n-aripi” (o colecție de povestiri despre omul contemporan alienat) este disponibil în format digital pe următoarele link-uri:

Muzica sa îmbină elemente arhaice românești, balcanice, africane cu jazz, funk, electronica anilor ‘60, house și tribal techno. A evoluat alături de nume cunoscute din muzica electronică românească și internațională, cum ar fi Akua Naru, Guts, Baba Zula, Matze, Silent Strike, Subcarpați, Renegades of Jazz etc. Seturile sale îmbină într-un mod eclectic elemente de live looping (fluiere, chitare, pian) cu sintetizatoare și efecte digitale, bazându-se mult pe improvizație. De asemenea, a creat coloanele sonore ale unor spectacole de teatru (Parallel - Groundfloor, Fabrica de Pensule Cluj; Call it art - Teatrul Național Cluj - studio Euphorion, Trei Surori - Teatrul maghiar Szigligeti, Oradea) sau scurtmetraje de animație (“Cum s-a făcut lumea” – de Maria Brudașcă).

Danaga (Daniel Aga) is a Cluj based producer who combines a large range of musical genres, from jazz, funk, hip-hop up to house, techno or folklor. He is kown to the public for his compations entitled “Culese din Cartier” (“Gethered from the neighbourhood”), “BuzzRo! 2011”, “Soundsphere 5”. https://soundcloud.com/danaga. His music combines archaic Romanian motives or balcanic elements with African and jazz infuences, funk, ’60s electro music, house or tribal techno. During his career, he shared the stage with well known names from the Romanian or international electronic stage, like Akua Naru, Guts, Baba Zula, Matze, Silent Strike, Subcarpați, Renegades of Jazz etc. His sets combine, in an eclectic manner, live looping elements (like guitars, whistles, piano) with sinthetizers and digital effects, also strongly focusing on improvisation during his artistic acts.
Danaga also created sound tracks for theatre plays (like “Parallel – Groundfloor”, “Fabrica de Pensule” din Cluj – “The Brush Factory”, from Cluj; “Call it art” - Teatrul Național Cluj/ The National Theatre from Cluj - studio Euphorion, “Trei Surori”/ “Three Sisters” - Teatrul maghiar “Szigligeti” Oradea / The “Szigligeti” Hungarian Theatre”, from Oradea) or for short animated films (“How the world was made” – of - Maria Brudașcă).
